Indoor Air Quality Guidance

Using results from our project activities, we will develop tailored indoor air quality (IAQ) management plans for each participating school, along with general guidance for improving IAQ and energy efficiency. This guidance can be applied to other indoor settings (e.g., childcare facilities).

Educational Materials

We will develop a series of fact sheets on IAQ issues in schools, common indoor air pollutants, and strategies for prevention and mitigation (e.g., ventilation, source management). Both existing and newly developed educational modules will also be available through this project.

Workshops and Webinar

We will host in-person workshops to raise awareness of IAQ issues and train school facility managers on air quality sensors, data interpretation, and HVAC system adjustments. Workshops will also cover using the phone apps and distributing educational materials. We will also organize a webinar on IAQ in schools and mitigation strategies.
