Support the Center

At the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health, we take tremendous pride in the work we do to protect workers and their environments. Your support helps us do just that. Every contribution, no matter the size, empowers us to conduct research, provide training, and advocate for policies that promote safer workplaces.

How Can You Help?

Our success isn’t possible without your contributions. This support empowers us to train more students and provide them with the best possible educational experiences. It allows us to set our sights on an even brighter future.

Donations

Individuals and businesses can contribute to us in a number of ways. Many choose to give to RMCOEH’s scholarship funds, which were established by or in the memory of people who are icons in the center’s history. These scholarships ensure more trainees are able to participate in our programs and pursue their passions in occupational and environmental health and safety. Donors can also give to our RMCOEH general fund that supports education and research activities.  Also, please contact us if you have specific desires regarding how you would like to see a gift to be used!

Workers Compensation Premium Taxes

Self-insured employers and workers compensation insurers in Utah have a unique opportunity to support us. They can donate up to 0.2% of their workers compensation premium taxes to RMCOEH and receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit, meaning it won’t affect the bottom line.

The organizations simply mail us a donation, and we will return a letter of thanks that also serves as a receipt for the tax credit. When filing the usual TC-49 tax form,  donors subtract the donation from taxes owed and attach the receipt.

These donations should be issued to “RMCOEH” and mailed to:

Interested in playing a hands-on role in our success? We’d love to team up. Perhaps you have an occupational and environmental health and safety-related challenge that is ripe for students in our OSH Solutions class, where interdisciplinary teams spend the semester solving businesses’ real-world problems. Maybe you’re working on a project that provides an avenue for us to leverage our resources and expertise to develop research to help workers and businesses. Or have you been mulling an idea for a lecture that would allow our students to learn from your experience in the field?

Whatever you’re thinking, we want to hear from you.
