At RMCOEH, we pride ourselves on making an impact in our community and in communities throughout the West. One of the most effective ways we do that is engaging in outreach that educates workers, businesses, and others about occupational and environmental safety and health. It ensures the knowledge we have is not confined within our walls but is instead widely accessible to those who can transform it into real-world action.
We’ve provided outreach to more than 420,000 people since 2018 through activities such as lectures, presentations, site visits, and consultations, and have touched millions more through interviews in major publications and podcast appearances. We’re always looking for opportunities to add to those numbers and share information that can make workers safer, and we want to hear from you if there’s a way we can assist you or your organization.
Our faculty have existing lectures prepared on a number of topics, including:
- ACOEM practice guidelines
- Commercial driver medical examinations
- Environmental health
- Ergonomics
- Impairment and disability
- Musculoskeletal disorders
- Regulatory compliance
- Toxicology
- Workers compensation
Faculty can present on new topics, prepare short courses, or participate in podcast appearances or media interviews upon request. Most faculty do not charge for one-hour lectures that are free for attendees. Short courses are provided for a nominal fee.
