RMCOEH's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates people about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
- Online CERT training is developed to provide the FEMA standardized 2019 curriculum to people across the U.S., meeting the lecture portion of the CERT training requirements. Once completed, participants follow up with their local CERT coordinator to complete the hands-on practical portion of the training and receive their full CERT credentials. Online CERT training is offered in English, Spanish, and Mandarin.
- Hybrid CERT is partnered with the National CERT Association, the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES), Listos California, and the Utah Division of Emergency Management. It is offered in English, Spanish, and Mandarin.
