At the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health, we believe that health and safety professionals are never done learning. That’s why our Continuing Education program has for decades been an integral part of our mission to reduce workplace injuries, diseases, and fatalities.

We hold dozens of National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) courses throughout the year, as well as large conferences and public events, including the Utah Conference on Safety and Industrial Hygiene and RMCOEH’s Richards Safe Workplace Lecture Series. All told, we serve more than 10,500 trainees and 3,000 businesses annually, ensuring safety professionals and others are equipped with the knowledge to confront the complex challenges in today’s ever-changing health and safety landscape.

While our commitment to protecting workers through ongoing education is longstanding, how we’re doing it is new. Our Continuing Education program, once operated through the University of Utah, is now administratively housed within Weber State University’s Division of Online & Continuing Education. This is a result of legislation in 2021 that transformed RMCOEH into the first multi-university partnership of its kind in Utah, paving the way for us to take advantage of the tremendous resources Weber State provides to elevate our program and its ability to make an impact.

We’re excited for this new chapter in our history, and eager to continue serving the trainees who have turned to us for decades to make workplaces throughout the West safer.

See Weber State’s Division of Online & Continuing Education for more information or to sign up for Continuing Education courses.
