Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) Courses

The Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) Mountain West OTIEC courses adhere to the same standards as in-person offerings. Students must have video capabilities, remain visible at all times, and attend all scheduled days to receive a completion certificate or trainer card. Participation, attendance, and exam monitoring will be documented. Early registration is encouraged.

Classes are conducted live via Zoom or WebEx, with digital course materials accessible through Canvas 1-2 business days before the course.

Eligibility: Courses are for individuals residing or working in the Denver Region (Utah, Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming). Current Outreach Trainers with MWOTIEC may attend VILT Trainer Update Courses (OSHA 502, 503) regardless of residence.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Students must participate from a stationary location (not in vehicles or while driving).
  • Participation via phone is prohibited; a computer is required.
  • Non-compliance will result in removal from the course.
