With the shift in work from in-person to remote/hybrid for many employees, concerns about the equitable sharing of ideas in non-face-to-face environments have become significant. Online attendees of meetings often feel marginalized, which impacts both their well-being and the organization’s ability to innovate and solve problems. This has direct impact on the safety and well-being of a number of stakeholders in and around organizations. The purpose of this research is to, first, develop a measure of meeting equity, which does not currently exist and, second, demonstrate its capability to detect issues of equity in workplace meetings that are related to employee health and well-being.
