NORA Symposium Travel

Overview: The NORA Symposium will held at the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health, located at 250 E 200 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84111.

Travel Arrangements: You are responsible for making your own travel arrangements. The symposium will begin with check-in at 7:45am on Thursday, April 17 and end approximately 1:00pm on Friday, April 18. Most symposium attendees will arrive the evening of Wednesday, April 16 and depart in the afternoon Friday, April 18.

Students traveling from other universities can be reimbursed up to $600 for their registration fee, hotel and flight. Receipts for reimbursement must be submitted to Muridi Barow at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Lodging: You are responsible for booking your own lodging. A variety of options are available around downtown Salt Lake City, including hotels, bed and breakfasts, and rooms in private houses. Entire houses or apartments accommodating multiple guests or rooms can be rented through https://www.airbnb.com/.

Transportation: Salt Lake City airport is located 7.5 miles from downtown Salt Lake City. Lyft and Uber are legally operating in Salt Lake City and at the airport. Designated pick up areas are indicated by curbside signs, and are located in the middle traffic lane on the ground level outside of the terminal.

Light Rail (TRAX) connects the SLC Airport with SLC downtown area. Please visit the UTA Trax website for fare and schedule information.
