Scott Collingwood, PhD
My career has been dedicated to reducing environmental exposures and their associated health maladies, particularly among working and vulnerable populations. As for my involvement in professional education, I have experience teaching, mentoring, and advising graduate students and routinely engage in activities that reach across disciplines within RMCOEH, particularly occupational medicine and ergonomics and safety. I have great experience in the capacities of curriculum development, instruction, administration, and marketing. I also co-teach and co-developed the program capstone OEHS 6715 Solutions course. Similarly, I routinely serve on graduate student research committees and plan to continue to support RMCOEH students with graduate research assistanceships from my extramurally funded research work. I continue to work collaboratively with regional Native Americans as well as Hispanic and other minority populations in Utah and the Rocky Mountain West. I’m excited to make the universally applicable materials developed at RMCOEH to these deserving, and often overlooked, populations.
