RMCOEH hosts the Utah Conference on Safety and Industrial Hygiene each fall, welcoming roughly 300 occupational and environmental health and safety professionals to the University of Utah campus for three days of learning and networking.

The conference is designed to provide a forum for the exchange of information and ideas related to current occupational and environmental health and safety issues that affect the workplace, general environment, and communities. The first day of the conference includes selected short courses, followed by two days of breakout sessions focused on current safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental issues.

Examples of sessions from previous conferences include “Mental Health in the Construction Industry,” “Product Liability and Workplace Safety,” “Accessible Noise Evaluation: Simple Noise Evaluation for Everyone,” and “Essential Elements of a Heat Stress Management Program.” We offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to conference attendees, and host one session that fulfills the two-hour ethics requirement for certified industrial hygienists.

Sponsorship opportunities for businesses are available.

Details about the 2023 event, including registration information, will be provided closer to the date of the conference.
